Old Guitar 04:15
Love me like an old guitar String me up and play all night I'll love you like a shooting star Chase you cross the sky into the night This time, in this way It's going to be alright And I'm looking up at this road sign baby Won't be long till we reach the light ‘Cos this time, in this way, it’s going to be all right. Look up here if you want to It’s not the place to be satisfied You know the colours that appear behind your eyes Are on your side You know it could be true Love me like a marionette Move my head and move my heart I'll love you like a superstar From the end back to the start ‘Cos this time, in this way It's going to be all right, all right I'm looking up at this road sign baby Won't be long till we reach the light And this time, in this way, it’s going to be all right

Sail On (free) 05:04
I’m a soldier but I’m not at war Just sitting on my backside, feeling bored I’m a sailor, but I’m all at sea Just sitting on my porch, looking at the water staring back at me I’m a farmer, but I got no land Got no money to buy some, no banker I can make understand But then again I’m a dreamer, but I got no sleep Daydreaming's ok you know, but you never get quite as deep And I said...Sail On Sail On Well I’m a lover, but I got no love I want to throw my arms around someone, just like in that song And I’m a singer, but I got no song right now Just a handful of notes, stuck in my throat, coming out any old how And I said...Sail On Sail On I’m a sinner, but I’ve got no rules Just lying in my back, looking at the sails on this ship of fools And I’m a dancer, but I've got no floor I want to swing my hips and shake my hair out like the wind through a sycamore And I said...Sail On Sail On I'm a bottle of good red, on a table of oak Oiling the laughter and accompanying the smoke Well the evening is over The words have all gone west I'm feeling kind of empty Kind of hollow in my chest And I said...Sail On Sail On You’ve got to be, you’ve got to see and now it’s time to Sail On

Live Life 04:53
If you could live your life again I wonder who you’d be If you could play another hand And trade your history Walk the high wire cross the wind of no return If you could rewind to a scene I wonder where you’d start And how you’d pause and make a choice With your head or with your heart Lose the logic or rely upon your fears The past is overrated but the present pours the wine Tomorrow evening could be cruel instead of kind I’ve got time and you’ve got time The running of this clock We’ll march in line, true colours flying And raise them on our rock If you could cut away the past Then who would you forgive? Climb the precipice of love See how you want to live Count the cast of thousands, colour in the lines
4.
I see you in the corner, you're ten foot tall I see creatures and features, parading cross the hall And there’s lovers and shovers on a perfect swell Caught by their heroes in a comic carousel And if you want to, want to You can play with your design And if you want to, want to You can leave it all behind Well the fakers and shakers have had their day Refining and shining till the silver fell away And memories fade like a summer storm Delighted, united at the beauty of this dawn And if you want to, want to You can play with your design And if you want to, want to You can leave it all behind It’s a perfect crime The evidence of common sense will be your alibi Mansions in the sky Raining golden invitations to the other side And if you want to, want to You can play with your design And if you want to, want to You can leave it all behind

Whirlpool 04:57
Into the future unknown I'm hanging on the end of this glass telephone Watching and wondering Which way the wind will blow, do you know? And I can’t help but see The river flow Some places it’s straight ahead Others places it’s round and round like a whirlpool I feel like a beetle, crawling cross a rock I feel for all the world like, nothing could shock Bird skims the water, banks to the west I wonder what she likes the best? And I wouldn't mind to know If you wouldn't mind to show, you know I'm shingle mingling with rocks a thousand times my size But there are more of me, mind you there's lots of them too I've been eroded by the wind, and there's waves All over my skin And I wouldn't mind to know If you wouldn't mind to show, you know Round and round like a whirlpool
6.
I can’t see you I’m mystified I’m left believing I’m colour blind Its not that the sun don’t shine Its fine I first saw you With rainbowed eyes Kaleidoscopic and second sight Its not that the sun don’t shine Its fine Its not that the sun don’t shine Its fine Who turned the lights down? Who closed the door? I’m left believing, There must be more Its not that the sun don’t shine Its fine I can’t see you Though you don’t hide I’m left believing I’m colour blind It’s not that the sun don’t shine Its fine

Marian 04:03
It was 1993 In a backstreet in Bangkok An Indian came up to me And said "I know your mothers name” "And you've got a fortune to behold, and you've got a future to be told” I said, "What's the deal?" "How do I know that what you say is real?” He said "I'll tell you your mothers name, if you listen" If you listen A piece of paper and an airline pen Put the letters together That spelled out Marian Yeah, that is my mother’s name "How did you know?" Was all that I could say "How did you know?" He said, "You've got to pray" "Your mothers really ill A hundred dollars should fit the bill I'll send it to India, where thousands will pray for her, if you listen" If you listen We dressed you up in shades of pine I wish that I could come with you To make sure that all is fine I wish that I could come with you Just for the day Make sure that everything’s ok Now you are free again Now you are free again

Half Light 04:04
Well you took your time And you had your place And now I see you standing here, inside this human race And you look so fine In your ivory tower And now I see standing tall in all your glorious power And you went drifting, through the half light I went walking to the sea You went and took my love, held it like a dove And turned the nightmares into dreams The nightmares into dreams Well you took your place Upon the shore And I really didn't know what all the fuss was for And you lived your dream And you jumped your walls And now I haven't got a clue what all the fuss was for And you went drifting, through the half light I went walking to the sea You went and took my love, held it like a glove And the nightmares turned to dreams You went and took my love, held it like a dove And the nightmares turned to dreams

Like a Storm 03:23
Just like a storm You linger on After the rain A waterfall And I know when you are near ‘Cos your memory tastes of lemon drops The bitter shell that brings a tear And a wave of sugar breaks on top To wash away the wonder Return the river to the sea Just like a wind You change the scene The picture frame remains the same The colours sing And I know when you are near ‘Cos your memory tastes of lemon drops The bitter shell that brings a tear And a wave of sugar breaks on top To wash away the wonder Return the river to the sea Just like a storm You linger on After the rain A waterfall

about

In mid 2008 Adrian dropped out of the mainstream and, Nick Cave style, went to his new office (TheStudio) and combined discipline with inspiration and created the sparkling new album "Want to Want to". New folk at its wisest with lyrics to live by, melodies to die for and a voice that's eternal. From twists of water and Indian soothsayers to old guitars and comic carousels.
